Hi, I’m Neil and this is my story of why I created this website:
One day I searched for advice for fit, healthy, masculine Dads. I came up short.
Oh sure, Dad blogs are ten-a-penny. And some of them are good.
But some of them are truly awful: full of whinging, whining ‘I’m so fat but I can’t do anything about it.’, ‘I’m so oppressed being a stay at home dad’ and so on.
Really? Is that what fatherhood has become? When did men begin to be pressed into the mould of ‘pseudo-mummies’? If that’s what you’re looking for then this website isn’t really for you.
I know for a fact that there are Dads out there who are working hard to rediscover their masculinity.
There are Dads out there who are struggling to find their identity in a world where masculinity is a negative thing.
There are Dads out there who want to be strong role models for their sons and daughters as they grow up.
There are Dads out there who need to rediscover the discipline required to emulate their own fathers.
There are Dads out there who want success in relationships and in work.
How do I know this? Because I am one.
And I know I’m not alone.
I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I have some answers. And I know you have answers.
In sharing our knowledge, we become stronger.
Some Dads Don’t
Some Dads don’t care if they have the dreaded ‘Dad Bod’.
Some Dads don’t care about their appearance or how they dress.
Some Dads don’t take notice of the food they put in their mouths.
Some Dads don’t mind if their masculinity is slowly stripped away from them.
Some Dads aren’t interested in bettering themselves for their own benefit or that of their families.
But This Dad Does.
