this dad does

The classic pose of a strongman holding a barbell represents the strength and balance all Dads need.

After several months of planning, preparation and development, ThisDadDoes.com is LIVE.

If this is your first time to the site I’ve written a special page for you that explains what all this is about. Once you’ve read this, explore the rest of the site. You’ll find lots of articles on a variety of subjects. Subjects which represent the content you can expect from This Dad Does for the future.

Articles are arranged into 5 categories. I’ve included links to a sample from each.

There’s plenty more in the pipeline and I’m committed to giving you free, quality content, advice and tips.

I need your help in developing This Dad Does

This site will never be a one way conversation. I want your input into the articles, videos and content of this site. Tell me what you’re interested in, tell me what you know. If you’ve got a great idea tell me. We’ll make it a reality.

If you like an article or subject, let me know.

I’ve created this short launch video that includes a question. Watch it and post your answers in the comments box or send me a Tweet.

Keep an eye out for upcoming articles. I’ve got some in the pipeline that I think you’ll really enjoy.

  1. Congrats! And now to answer your question from the video. A skill a father should definitely have in this Day and age is to be able to teach his kids especially his son if he has one how to survive in this world. Teach him/her about nutrition, mindset and how to become “free” be a role model for your child and be there for them. I could go on but I think you get the point! Again congratulations and all the best for the future I look forward to see all the stuff you have in store for us.

  2. Neil, good question. For me its encouraging my boys, who are 8 and 9, to enjoy the outdoors. Its something my own dad did with me. He could navigate using the stars, name every tree and plant, build really cool rafts and light fire using a whole bunch of different methods. He never let us leave any litter and always encouraged us to get outside our comfort zones. This summer me and the boys did several camp outs and I was very proud of the way they were able to put up shelters, use a flint and steel and chop firewood. Happy times, I hope they remember it the same way I recollect my own childhood. Anyway mate, there’s my two penneth worth. Really like the site, well done!

    • Tom, It sounds like your own Dad was a big inspiration to you and its fantastic you are able to pass those skills on to your own boys. I’m sure they will cherish those times and lessons as they grow older.
